In the centre of Andenes with the ocean as its nearest neighbour lies Groennbua! The name has a history here in Andenes. Groennbua I was built in 1938 for the community's fishermen. In July 1994 it was restored for you, Groennbua's guests. In March 2005 wel opened Groennbua II. This is a modern rorbu (fisherman's quarters) inspired by the traditional Groennbua I. Here you can stay in modern rooms with today's high standards of comfort whilst in traditional surroundings.

We do not talk of distance to the water's edge, with us you are staying on it. Both buildings are raised on stilts over the water just as an authentic fisherman's quarters should be.

Adjoined to Groennbua II you will find an intimate little restaurant where you can enjoy in maritime surroundings, breakfast and other meals you may desire.
 

Groennbua I offers you atmosphere and comfort in 5 two roomed apartments.  All apartments have their own fully equipped kitchen a bathroom and own entrance. 

 The apartments can be rented as one unit or as individual bedrooms.

Groennbua II is a modern rorbu, but with the same atmosphere as Groennbua I. It offers a rorbu room suite, 2 mini suites and 15 one room apartments. Each room is well equipped and ready for you as rorbu guests from March 2005.

Groennbua III offers a northern ligh suite, 8 double rooms and 8 single. The Northern Ligh Suite is a fisherman's exclusive apartment with sauna, jacuzzi steam shower and jacuzzi. All rooms are well equipped and ready to accept you as a fisherman's guest from March 2010.
